3 VERY important things I forgot to mention

First and foremost, we finally took Dash's bandage off his ear last night and it didn't bleed so we didn't have to replace it. We did have to cut off his beautiful hair on his other ear to even things out with his shaved ear. Feel free to mourn.

Next - I made a kick-ass dinner for Grampa last week and it was a brand new recipe. Shockingly, Lee really liked it too. It's amazing how much more he eats now...especially given how little he eats still compared to the average person. But I digress, here's the recipe...adapted from Rachel Ray.

Heat up a bit of oil and stir fry a package of chicken (mine was 4 breasts, not giant Farmboy breasts) but leave it on one side long enough to brown (3 minutes or so...very hard to do). Put the chicken on a plate and add a bit more oil to the pan. Add in an onion or 2 (chopped), a few cloves of minced garlic, a chopped red pepper and florets from a head or 2 of broccoli plus 1 tbs of coriander powder (or whatever it's called) and a few red pepper flakes. Cook it a bit and then add 1/2 cup Hoisin sauce and 1/4 c of orange juice that have been mixed together first (it originally says 1/2c of OJ but I found it too runny. Add the chicken back in to warm it up. Serve it on top of jasmine rice and with a bit of fresh chopped coriander on top. Eat. Enjoy.

Okay the third, a most important thing: Have you ever thought about the word "cookie". It's a silly little word. It sounds like a word that's made up for little kids like "poopy" or "snacky". The more you say it, the sillier it seems. Especially when the flight attendant is saying it over and over again to adults on a flight. Incidentally...I looked up the etymology. It comes from the Dutch word koekje which means "little cake".
