Reading an article about the elections in Zimbabwe this weekend I was struck by something. Not by all the craziness going on since that tends to be common enough to make us complacent. What shocked me was the sanity going on. In a reprinted article in the Ottawa Citizen from The Times, London by Catherine Philp was this quote from the leader of the opposition, Morgan Tsvangirai, " 'God knows what is in your hearts. Don’t risk your lives.' "
Yes, there are things in life that are worth dying for but sometimes you can effect more change by being a survivor. Identifying the difference and protecting your supporters...that sounds like a leader to me.
